Vasija Shirt
The Vasija Shirt honors the sacred union of earth, air, water, and fire—the four elements that, when combined, give birth to clay. From this elemental blend comes pottery: humble and sacred vessels that have carried life, nourishment, and ritual for generations.
On the front, a traditional alcancía (coin bank) from Tonalá, Jalisco, holds silent wishes and memories. On the back, a map of earthenware: a cantarito from Guerrero, mugs from Santa Fe de la Laguna in Michoacán, and small mezcal cups from Oaxaca. Vessels that once held water, pulque, and mezcal—sacred liquids and symbols of celebration.
This shirt is a tribute to clay as both daily companion and ceremonial keeper. Because within every vessel lives a story, and within every stitch, the echo of hands that shape and preserve.
