Mascaras Shirt

The Máscaras Shirt is born from the ritual strength of the masks of Oaxaca and Guerrero — wooden faces that, once worn, cease to be objects and become spirit.

They are a bridge between the human and the sacred — movement, earth, and sky in dialogue.

This piece features two hand-embroidered masks at the front, reinterpreted from those originally carved in wood. On the back, a hand-embroidered guitar — the music that accompanies the dance, the vibration that awakens the earth and sets the rhythm of the ritual.
